Mussel Wine Stew Pasta

<This is for about 3 servings>

 

Ingredients
  • 1/2 onion
  • Butter
  • 25 oz mussels
  • 1 1/4 cups white wine
  • Red pepper flakes 
  • Salt
  • Clam stock powder
  • Pasta (type and amount of your choice)

 

Instruction
  1. In a pot of boiling water with salt, cook 2–3 servings of pasta.
  2. While pasta cooks, sauté chopped onion in olive oil and butter until soft.
  3. Add mussels and cook briefly.
  4. Pour in white wine and red pepper flakes; season with salt.
  5. Add more butter and let it simmer.
  6. Drain the pasta and toss it into the mussel stew.
  7. Add clam stock powder for deeper flavor, if desired.
