Spicy Braised Pork Ribs

<This is about for 2-3 servings>

 

Ingredients
  • 1.4 lbs pork ribs
  • Carrots 
  • Green onions
  • 1 chili pepper
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cooking wine
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp Korean chili flakes (gochugaru)
  • 1 tbsp Korean chili paste (gochujang)
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 tbsp minced ginger
  • Black pepper
  • Bay leaves
  • Sesame oil
  • Anchovy broth coin (optional)

 

Instruction
  1. Wash the pork ribs, carrots, green onions, and chili pepper under running water.
  2. Cut the vegetables into small pieces.
  3. Boil the ribs briefly with a few bay leaves to remove any odor.
  4. Once it comes to a boil, discard the water and rinse the ribs under cold water.
  5. In a pot, add the ribs, about 2 cups of water, the sauce ingredients, and the anchovy broth coin (optional).
  6. Add the chopped vegetables and drizzle with sesame oil.
  7. Simmer over medium heat until the sauce is rich and the meat is tender.
